About Me
I was born in Texas as the son of immigrant parents (my father from Nigeria, and my mother from Hungary), my journey is a tapestry of personal and professional resilience. Raised predominantly in the Lone Star State, I faced the challenges of single-parent households after my parents’ divorce at the tender age of 8.
Witnessing my mother’s dependence on welfare while raising seven children became a crucial life lesson. Seeking a different path, I moved to live with my father, who instilled in me the value of hard work as the gateway to success. Fueled by a desire for independence, I ventured out on my own at 16, working hard to rent my own home and buy my own car with the work ethic instilled by my father.
After 9/11, I felt a calling to serve, leading to my enlistment in the United States Air Force. I served as a Helicopter Flight Engineer, attended military S.E.R.E school, and joined the 20th Special Operations Squadron, forging lifelong relationships. After exiting the Air Force in 2005, I seamlessly returned to the financial services industry, where I found deep joy volunteering in the community, teaching financial literacy.
In 2007, I met my beautiful wife Monica, and we began our family. A job promotion in 2011 led to our move to Georgia, where meticulous planning brought us to Gwinnett, the perfect place for our family.
With nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry, I’ve successfully managed to grow revenue, deposits, loans, and customer experience. Currently serving as a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant at one of the largest banks in Atlanta, I consult with top executives, driving revenue and market share growth. My expertise lies in improving employee efficiency, resulting in a 7% increase in region balances and a 5% year-over-year increase in total revenue to $84 million.
In previous roles, including Business Development Consultant and District Manager, I consistently worked with hundreds of employees on their individual skills and mapped out their career paths. I’m so proud to see how so many have elevated their careers and personal lives. As a seasoned leader, I managed the largest asset-level District in the southeast with a balance sheet total of over 3 billion. I received accolades as the #1 District Manager in the Atlanta Region for balanced performance.
I have lived a life of active service, contributing to my community, notably on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation. My journey is defined by leadership, performance excellence, and a passion for making a positive impact in both professional and community spheres.
Above and beyond all my professional experience, my greatest job and joy in this life is being a husband to Monica and a father to my four beautiful children. I lead our family in faith and give my children an example of hard work and resilience. They are my inspiration for running for Gwinnett County Commission Chairman. Our future depends on authentic leadership – for my family and yours.
